Yes, there are lots of older people of what I saw. You are only alloud to send 2 mail messages a day and view 3 profiles a day. If you upgrade, meaning paying for it you get alot more.
But I liked it!
Oh well, sounds like a lot of restrictions if you don't pay, but if it means there are boards where there are more older people, I'll try and live with it, I'm going to go check it out as soon as i get through reading the board posts.

I just visited it, and what I saw looked great, but I just want to make sure it isn't especially a dating service before I sign up.

ok I decided to sign up, but I'm having trouble, I get to a certain part, all the way up to user name, then after that, I get a stupid error saying internet explorer has encountered a problem and will now close, and they're sorry for the inconvenience, sure, sure they are, bah. Anyway, I'm frustrated. it sounds like a pretty good site, I like their message boards aredevided in to categories, and they may have as many as 100 subcategories, but I keep getting this stupid error, and the option to send error report, or not. Anyone have any ideas why internet explorer is doing that on that one site? It only occurs during the registration process. I get all the way passed first and last name, email address, and for user name, when I type wonderwoman, I can get as far as the check link, that lets you know if your user name is taken, and right at that point is where I have that stupid problem. Any ideas why?

I just went there and put wonderwoman and it said that was a valid name. So I would skip the link that asks you to check and keep going. It's not just for dating, it's for making friends.
Thanks for doing that for me Brandywine, I'll try just skipping that link, when I entered on it, it made jaws stop talking. But I just have this awful feeling the reason internet explorer keeps closing on it is some technical problem I can't do anything about, but I'll try again anyway. At least I can stilll have access to the boards and talk rooms even if I can't add but 2 friends and send 2 messages. If it works out, you'll probably see me on there, but I just have this dreadful feeling it's some sort of technical problem, which is very complicated.
